Miss Universe 2018 really rock the world, the universe rather. Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray from the province of Albay, Philippines set a new trend with her iconic Ear cuffs and of course her own Lava Gown.

According to Mak Tumang, the personal designer of Catriona Lava Gown was Catriona’s idea. During the coronation night we are fascinated by the details of the gown it was a fully embellished with sarovski crystal and rhinestone, the mixture of black, red, orange and yellow colors stunned us together with her lava walk Catriona astonished the whole Thailand.

And like what I have said in the Title, we will try to make a do it yourself . Now everyone is asking if how much money will I spend just to achieve that Catriona look, well all you need is your creativity and of course be resourceful. I can’t promise that we will have the exact look but we will try to make it closer as we can.

First we will discussed what do you need, so the material are:

~scissors ~ruler ~cardboard ~spray paint ~red fabric ~body measurement ~pencil and markers ~glitters ~stones and pearls ~wire ~glue gun

So here are the steps in making the ear cuffs:

~Measure the size of you ears and try to shape the wire and try to make a bone of your ear cuffs this will be the holder.

~Draw a four sun rays and stars on a card board, cut it be sure to cut same as the other one and color it using the gold spray paint .

~Attach the sun rays and stars in the ear cuff holder using a glue gun please be careful in doing this step and make sure to glue the cardboard properly.

~ The last step will be putting the pearls an stones in the ear cuffs.

Steps in making the Lava gown:

~First make the lava cloth by spraying the black spray paint on the red cloth, be careful in spraying it spread the color on the whole fabric so that you’ll achieve the lava effect.

~ Second cut the gown by your own design, use the body measurement to make it.

~Put the glitters and some stone in the gown so that you’ll have that closer look

~Sew the cut pieces of fabric you can adjust it according to your style but I recommend to have a closer cut as Catriona’s.

Then vavavoom you already have that Catriona inspired lava gown and ear cuffs.
